Getting Started with Stem Splitting

Start with the result you actually need
Stem splitting is most useful when you choose the workflow that matches the job in front of you.
1. Pick the right mode first
- Use Vocal Remover when you want a karaoke-style backing track for rehearsal or covers.
- Use Vocal Extractor when you want the lead vocal for sampling, analysis, or remix prep.
- Use Full Stem Splitter when you need a broader breakdown of the arrangement.
2. Start with a clean source
Higher-quality masters usually produce cleaner results. If you only need a specific chorus or verse, trim the file first so the model focuses on the section that matters.
3. Preview before you export
Listen to the result in the browser. Keep only the stems you need and skip unnecessary downloads.
4. Match the output to the workflow
- Practice track: export the instrumental
- Remix prep: export the vocal and full stems
- Content edit: export only the parts that speed up your timeline
The goal is not to create every possible file. The goal is to get to the next creative step faster.
